PSG seek Mourinho as replacement for Pochettino
Paris Saint-Germain are interested in making Jose Mourinho their next manager as they prepare to cut ties with Mauricio Pochettino, 90min can confirm.
The Ligue 1 champions have long had plans to offload Pochettino at the end of the season and they had been keen to replace him with Antonio Conte, who has since reaffirmed his commitment to Tottenham.
As well as a new manager, PSG are also closing in on hiring Luis Campos as their new sporting director, and sources have confirmed to 90min that the former Lille and Monaco chief is looking at his options as he prepares to cut ties with Pochettino.
Intermediaries working on behalf of PSG have reached out to Mourinho to gauge his interest in taking the job, with the Ligue 1 side intrigued by the prospect of working with the Roma manager.
Mourinho is known to be close with Campos, who worked under him at Real Madrid, and the boss even failed in an attempt to bring his fellow Portugal national to Manchester United earlier in his career.
The San Jose Earthquakes have signed midfielder Cruz Medina as a homegrown player through the 2026 season with a club option for 2027.
Indirect contact has been made with Mourinho’s camp over a possible move to Paris, but multiple sources have confirmed to 90min that the former United and Chelsea boss is infatuated with life in Rome.

Mourinho is understood to be incredibly happy with Roma and has even publicly stated that he does not plan to walk away from the Europa Conference League champions, whom he hopes to turn into title contenders in the near future.
“I have great respect for all the clubs I worked with, but today I am 100% Romanista, because these fans are incredible,” he said after the Conference League triumph.“I will stay at AS Roma, no doubt, even if some offers will come. I want to stay here.”
Alongside Mourinho, Campos is also understood to be interested in working with Nice manager Christophe Galtier and former Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim, but Sporting’s Ruben Amorim is still believed to be among PSG’s top targets.
