Rangers fans appreciate Aribo despite Europa league defeat

Super Eagles ace Joe Aribo was a delight and fan favorite despite Rangers losing the Europa league final against Eintracht Frankfurt of Wednesday night.

Ramsey’s penalty was the only poor one of the 10 taken. Frightening standard under that pressure.

The business minded Nigeria international shot visiting Rangers into the lead in the 57th minute of the match throwing Rangers fan into a frenzy. The fans could be heard yelling his name in appreciation of the  feat, unfortunately the jubilation only lasted for only 12 minutes before Columbia international Santos Borré levelled up for Eintracht in the 69th minute.

The agony in Glasgow.

The two teams thereafter went into a ding-dong affair in supremacy contest that failed to produce any goal all through the thirty minutes of extra time plus two minutes added time and ending up in penalties.

While Rangers were only able to convert four of their penalties missing one through Wales international Aaron Ramsey, Eintracht Franfurt  scored all the five penalties to clinch the title.

Aribo was not the only Nigerian on parade  as compatriot Calvin Bassey  also saw full action, Leon Balogun was however an used substitute on the night.
