Rangers forward Israel Abia joins Saudi Arabian club

Enugu Rangers forward and Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) top scorer for 2019/2020 season Israel Abia has joined Saudi Arabia club Al Rawdah SC.

Abia netted 12 goals – seven for Sunshine Stars and five with the Flying Antelopes – to claim the Eunisell Boot as the NPFL Goal King of the previous campaign.

The goal poacher will wear the number 27 jersey for Al Rawdah SC while campaigning for honours in the third-tier league in Saudi Arabia.

However, Al Rawdah SC have shown their ambition to gain promotion to a higher league by signing some top players from Europe and north Africa like Tunisia international and former Glasgow Rangers defender Bilel Mohsni.
