Rangers honour late teammate, ready for MFM showdown

In a mark of solidarity no matter the situation, Rangers International Friday honoured their late teammate Ifeanyi George with prayers en-route Lagos for their match against MFM at the Temple on Sunday.

The Flying Antelopes released set pictures where the players and officials gathered at the point where late George had lost his life in a ghastly motor accident to pray and observe a minute silence.

“We stopped over at d spot (Evbobanosa) junction along Asaba-Benin road where our late attacking sensation, Ifeanyi George, breathed his last just few days to mark the first anniv of his death to observe a minute silence with prayers for the repose of his soul on our way to Lagos” the team said.

It will be recalled that late George was killed in an accident in March last year.

He was on his way to Lagos when the incident occurred. The 26 year old who had been capped twice by the Super Eagles joined Rangers from Enyimba in 2017.

Meanwhile all is now set for the matchday 5 clash between MFM and Rangers at the Agege Stadium otherwise dubbed the Temple.
