Register your players latest August 15 CAF warns Akwa Utd others

Nigeria premier league Champions Akwa United  and other African clubs that will be participating in interclub championships next season have been told to ensure their players are registered on or before August 15.

Confederation of African Football CAF, gave the directive Thursday even as preliminary rounds of the competitions are set to hold on Friday in Cairo, Egypt.

A total of 105 clubs have registered to lock horns in the two prestigious interclub competitions, the CAF Champions league Confederation cup respectively.

54 clubs have committed to participate in the 2021/2022 CAF Champions League, while 51 clubs have registered for the 2021/2022 CAF Confederation Cup. All the clubs have been given till August 15 to register their players on CAF CMS (content management system).

Akwa United and Rivers United will feature in the preliminaries draw of the CAF Champions league while Enyimba and Bayelsa United will feature in the preliminary draws of the Confederation Cup.
