PREVIEW (Iwobi)

Just as it happened in the first leg, Arsenal forward, Alex Iwobi is again missing in the starting line up for tonight’s Europa League semi final return leg against Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium.

The Nigerian who traveled with the team on Wednesday morning from the Luton Airport to Spain has been confined to the bench for the clash which the Gunners are aiming to win to reach the final.

While he watches from the bench,  club manager, Unai Emery has opted for Mesut Ozil to play behind strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

Notwithstanding, where he has found himself in the pecking order, Iwobi would be hoping he gets to play at some point during the match.

That would however be determined by Emery who has come under fire for the team’s unimpressive form in the premier league this season which has seen the Gunners miss playing in the Champions League next season.

The Gunners go into the match with a 3-1 advantage and simply need a draw or just a goal to advance to the final.

In the semi-final first-leg last week, the La Liga outfit took the lead and could have scored one or two more before Lacazette turned the game on its head with a brace before half-time.

Aubameyang made it 3-1 late on and that goal could be crucial as it means Valencia must score two without reply in order to progress to the final.

However, a goal for the Gunners and Los Che would need to score at least three to take the tie into extra-time and four to reach this month’s final in Baku, Azerbaijan. Kick off is 8pm.
