Rodgers gives Vardy, Maddison, and Barnes injury updates

Brendan Rodgers is confident Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy will be fit to face Burnley but  James Maddison is likely to miss the trip to Turf Moor.

Maddison was unable to feature in the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday, while Vardy played on through the pain barrier after sustaining an apparent groin injury in the game.

Leicester have a growing injury problem and the Foxes lost Harvey Barnes to a knee injury during the second half against the Gunners, with the midfielder set to miss the next six weeks of action.

While Barnes’ absence was expected, supporters had been hoping that Maddison would be fit but Rodgers says the midfielder needs more time, though Vardy will be fit to face the Clarets.
