Rodriguez makes U-turn begs girlfriend to marry him
Stoke flop Jese Rodriguez has sealed his love affair with the girlfriend he took to court four years ago for harassment by asking for her hand in marriage.
The 28-year-old ex-star of Real Madrid and PSG went on one knee in a red heart drawn on the floor during a romantic holiday with model and influencer Aurah Ruiz in Dubai.
The shocking proposal came just four months after the footballer, now a second-division striker for Spain’s Las Palmas, found himself at the center of bizarre accusations.
Jese revealed to his two million Instagram followers that beautiful brunette Aurah’s response to his marriage request was “Yes.”
In a lengthy post alongside the snaps he posted, in which he pictured him on a bed of red roses with a violinist playing in the background before embracing his bride-to-be in the heart-shaped circle, the striker wrote, “Yeeeesssss, I dooooooooo. Those words were the answer to the question I’ve thought about most in my life and your answer my baby. It’s the beginning of everything.
“I really wanted to scream to the world that the love of my life wants to be next to me forever, and that we won’t just be ‘them or me’, but very soon will be ‘us’.
Jese called Aurah the “compass that guides me and the owner of my destiny,” adding, in a clear reference to the difficulties they encountered during their headlining romance, “I could write many more things, but i would prefer it if we got them together and in the future we can write a book where we tell how true love can beat anything and everyone.
“Love always wins. I love you, I adore you, my darling. Together forever.’
Aurah responded on her own Instagram: “I really don’t have words to express what I really feel. And you know very well what it is and that’s all that matters. I love you.’
She also confirmed that she had accepted and signed the footballer’s marriage proposal by writing, “Yes, I do.”
Jese’s ugly split with Aurah, who became a household name on a Spanish TV dating show, made headlines when he was loaned to Stoke on a disappointing loan spell between August 2017 and May 2018. He has scored just one goal in 13 games in a period marked by his regular return to Spain after the son he has with Aurah was diagnosed with a serious illness.

Aurah accused him of failing her in helping Ryan, who is now four, regain full health while in hospital in Gran Canaria, and he eventually turned her in for harassment. His shocking legal action ended with the headline-loving brunette being convicted in December 2020, despite having reunited a few months earlier.
