Rohr confirms: These Eagles are on right path

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr,  is optimistic that these youthful  and enterprising players in his team will go places and achieve the impossible after two wins from two 2021 AFCON qualifiers.

Nigeria kicked off the campaign with a 2-1 win over Benin before traveling to fetch a 4-2 win in Lesotho.

Rohr highlighted the team’s ability to comeback after going a goal down – a character he attributes to the squad depths of abilities and player traits.

“We’re on the right way now, this is two victories and we’re playing very well,” Rohr said.

Even if we concede the first goal, we know that with this kind of football, we can come back, that’s what happened in Uyo and again in Lesotho.”

The German veteran concluded by confirming that the team also has time on its side when looking at the average ages.
