Rohr gets Onyekuru boost ahead South Africa clash

Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr would be pleased with the good news that Henry Onyekuru has returned to training with three weeks to the country’s crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

The on-loan Galatasaray of Turkey forward jogged alone in a picture which he posted on his Twitter handle to show that he was fast recovering from the hamstring injury sustained before the AFCON qualifiers.

Even though he has featured for the Eagles in a substitute role, Onyekuru has shown that he is part of Rohr’s plans with the way he has conducted himself on the pitch .

Recalled that he provided the assist that led to Nigeria’s fourth goal against Libya scored by Samuel Kalu during the first leg in Uyo.

It however remains to be seen if Onyekuru who has scored twice from 10 matches for the Turkish side will be available for selection when they tackle Yeni Melatyaspor on Saturday.
