Rohr hands late call up to Otabor for injured Kalu ahead Brazil friendly

CSKA Sofia midfielder, Viv Solomon-Otabor wish of playing for the Super Eagles has been fulfilled after getting a late call-up from head coach, Gernot Rohr ahead of the international friendly against Brazil. The match is billed for the National Stadium on October 13 in Singapore.

Rohr decided to invite the England born winger as a replacement for Bordeaux of France winger, Samuel Kalu who got injured in training.

Extending an invitation to the 23-year-old wasn’t difficult having recently switched his allegiance to Nigeria.

He had initially been invited in June 2015 for trials for the Nigeria Olympic team and trained with the team ahead of their 2015 All Africa Games campaign

Within a space of three days Rohr has been forced to rejig his team as he replaced Kenneth Omeruo with Tyronne Ebuehi.

Otabor was formally on the books of Birmingham City before spending several loan spells at Oxford City, Bolton, Blackpool and Portsmouth.
