” Maybe we missed a bit of experience in this team because we have a very young team at this World Cup but I’m proud of my players because we gave a good account ourselves at this World Cup.

” We did everything we could; and the story could have been different if we did not concede the goal in the last minutes.

” This is a young team and I think most of them would be ready in the next four years because the World Cup is even bigger than the UEFA Champions League but we are still a young side.”

The self-styled Franco German disclosed further that he would be ready to lead his troops in up coming international tournament with the qualifiers for the 2019 Total CAF African Cup of Nations looming large.

” I’m ready to lead the team and I would want our captain to continue with us for few more years,”the former Bayern Munich defender disclosed.” I’m happy to work with this team because it’s a cocktail of young and talented players; and full of discipline.

” I would like to continue because I have very good feeling with these boys; we were a bit unlucky today but we can make a great team in the next AFCON competition.”

Speaking in the same vein, Super Eagles Captain John Mikel Obi said he would also be at the ready to lead the players even as he thanked Nigerians for all the support to the team.

“I have never had it so good since I have been playing with the national team; and like I said before; I’m taking it occe at a time but let’s see how it goes. I would be ready to lead the boys because we have a great family together.”
