Roma set to offer new deal to Dybala – report

Reports on Friday evening suggest that Roma are keen to extend Paulo Dybala’s stay at the Stadio Olimpico and are prepared to offer a new contract extension on improved terms.

Having joined on a free transfer from Juventus last summer, La Joya is currently contracted to the Giallorossi until the summer of 2025. To avoid losing him for a cut-down price next summer, Roma are getting ready to put an improved deal on the table.

According to reports from Calciomercato.com, Roma have already scheduled a meeting with Dybala’s agent for the next international break in October, when it is expected that the details of a renewal will be discussed further.

The initial reports suggest that Roma are willing to offer Dybala an annual salary of €6m plus €1m in bonuses, an improvement on the €4m plus bonuses they currently pay the Argentina international.

Importantly, if Dybala were to agree a new deal, the release clause in his current contract would likely be removed. At present, there is a clause that allows Dybala to leave for a team outside Italy for a fee of €12m, or for €20m to teams within Serie A.

And, despite receiving a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia this summer, Dybala himself is keen to stay on in Rome, as previous reports express that he has already informed director Tiago Pinto of his intention to carry on with the team.
