Serie A: I now wear a microphone on matchday, says Mourinho

Roma coach, Jose Mourinho, has revealed he’s now wearing a microphone throughout matchday.

Mourinho was speaking after their 1-1 draw with Monza, where he branded ref Daniele Chiffi the “worst referee of my career”.

“I’m not stupid, I went to the match with a microphone and recorded everything. From the moment I entered and the moment I entered the dressing room. I protected mysel,” said Mourinho.

“On a technical level, a good referee doesn’t whistle much. It was said that with (Daniele) Orsato we never win, but I would like him to have in all the matches because he is in total control of the match even when he makes a mistake. He doesn’t need to be angry, he’s calm.

“Referee Chiffi has little, he has a talent for getting angry and that’s it. But it’s against the nature of a referee, he must be exactly the opposite. The result, I repeat, was unaffected by the referee. The double yellow in the 96th minute (for Zeki Celik), understanding the situation, makes us understand everything.”
