Serie A: Napoli coach still furious about referee’s decision to deny Osimhen scoring opportunity

Napoli boss, Luciano Spalleti, is still furious with referee Danielle Orsato for denying Victor Osimhen a penalty against Milan on Sunday.

Osimhen appeared to have been fouled in the box by Fikayo Tomori in the first half, but referee Orsato decided not to punish the defender, despite being invited to watch the pitch-side monitor.

Milan also had a penalty appeal turned down, but The Tuscan tactician was not impressed by Daniele Orsato’s decision not to award penalty for the foul on Osimhen.

“The Milan one wasn’t a penalty, but the one for Napoli was clear,” said Spalletti.

“The thing is, we don’t make noise, while Milan do,” he added, probably referring to Milan’s protests during the match.

Meanwhile, the man at the center of the controversy, AC Milan defender, Fikayo Tomori has a different thought on the issue.

Speaking to Milan press, Tomori said, the referee made the decision and inisted, he did nothing wrong.

“We can see from the pictures that I touched it lightly, but in my opinion there was no foul. It was not a foul contact”. He said.

The game ended 1-0 in the favor of Milan and Olivier Giroud was the match winner.
