AC Monza GM Adriano Galliani is backing the appointment of new Italy coach Luciano Spalletti.
The former Napoli coach’s hiring was confirmed over the weekend.

Galliani said: “If it is the right choice? I really think so, Spalletti is a great coach.
“I saw him at Forte dei Marmi ten days ago and no one expected (Roberto) Mancini to resign. Spalletti has shown that he is a great coach, he will do well and has very clear ideas.
“His approach then is perfect.”
