The message from authorities is to stay at home to avoid spreading the virus or indeed contracting it as the world attempts to fight back.

Coronavirus has already claimed almost 300 lives in the UK, and it is yet to reach its peak.

To ensure the rate of infection and deaths reduces, it is important people stay at home aside from essential trips only.

And City players are playing their bit in getting that message across, posting videos on social media this afternoon.

Jamie Vardy, Kelechi Iheanacho, Christian Fuchs, Ben Chilwell, Jonny Evans and Marc Albrighton all filmed videos from home urging people to join them in remaining in their houses, as well as giving helpful advice.

“Hi guys, this is just a quick message to remind you to please stay at home if you are showing any symptoms whatsoever, whether that is a high temperature and you are hot to touch on your chest or back, or whether it’s a continuous cough,” Vardy said.

“It’s really important that we help out and try to relieve the pressure on the NHS staff and to save them for the most vulnerable in society.

“Please, please, do your best to listen.”
