Super Eagles player turn Hot Cake in Europe

Wolverhampton Wanderers have stepped up their effort to sign Super Eagles and Fenerbahçe right back Bright Osayi-Samuel.

The Premier League side have reportedly made a €12m bid (equating to N16.8 billion) for the fullback who has featured prominently for his club this season.

Alongside Crystal Palace and Leeds United, Wolves have also been an admirer of the Nigeria international and would now like to bring him back to England after three years of his departure.

It now remains to be seen whether Fenerbahçe will accept the offer of the English outfit with Osayi-Samuel’s contact coming to an end in the summer of 2025.

The 26-year-old could welcome a move to the Molineux having not hidden his intention to feature in the Premier League but will have to brace up for competition.

Nélson Semedo has been the first choice right back/right wing-back for Gary O’Neil this season, starting 32 Premier League games so far, which means Osayi-Samuel will have to displace the Portuguese from the starting lineup.

The Nigerian defender has been in decent form for Fenerbahçe this term, featuring in 34 matches across all competitions and has notched nine goal involvements.

He joined the Yellow Canaries in 2021 and with his contract ending in a year’s time, it won’t be surprising to see him leave the Turkish side in the summer if his contract is not extended.
