Taiwo Awoniyi’s goal fails to save N.Forest
Super Eagles ace Taiwo Awoniyi gave Nottingham forest early lead in their clash against Fulham but it did not stop the premier league new comers from going down 3-2 Friday.
Fulham scored three times in a sensational, five-minute spell at the City Ground as they came from behind to beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 and climb to sixth in the Premier League table.
Marco Silva’s side trailed to Taiwo Awoniyi’s 11th minute goal as they went into the second half, but Tosin Adarabioyo’s powerful header from Willian’s corner sparked a stunning comeback.
Joao Palhinha put Fulham in front with a wonderful, first-time finish from just outside the Forest box and the visitors immediately extended their lead when Harrison Reed fired home his first goal for the club from Bobby Decordova-Reid’s cross .

Forest pulled a goal back through substitute Lewis O’Brien but could not muster an equaliser in the closing stages as they slumped to a fourth consecutive Premier League loss which keeps them in the relegation zone, seven points below their newly-promoted rivals. Despite the loss Awoniyi who has been in good form for Forest since joining them from Union Berlin got a seven out of ten rating in the match same as Fulham’s Adarabioyo.
