The ball boy time waster that Eden Hazard kicked a decade ago has gone to become a massively successful businessman in the alcohol business
The former Chelsea superstar announced his retirement from professional football on Tuesday (October 10) at the age of 32 as he stated it was the “right time” to call time on his illustrious career. The Belgian won a host of honours throughout his 16-year career, including two Premier League titles, two La Liga championships and one UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid.

The winger had plenty of highlights throughout his time in football but has also had his share of lowlights with the most infamous of them coming from his debut season at Chelsea, when he booted ball boy Charlie Morgan during a League Cup semi-final defeat to Swansea on January 23, 201
Morgan, who was 17 at the time, attempted to time waste by intentionally placing himself on the ball while Hazard tried to restart the game with a throw-in. However, after failing to claim the ball from the defiant teenager, he resorted to kicking the ball from underneath the ball boy which earned him a red card.
Over a decade on from his questionable tactics, Morgan has established himself as mega-business success as his AU Vodka brand is one of the biggest in the world. The 27-year-old had the aid of his millionaire dad Martin Morgan owner of Morgan’s Hotel and director at Swansea City, as his success means his net worth is estimated to be around £40million.

The brand are said to make around 35,000 bottles every single day and have been bought by sporting legends such as Floyd Mayweather and Ronaldinho. While Morgan continues to go from strength to strength in the business world, the football world are losing one of the game’s great entertainers in Hazard who suffered a disappointing end to his career whilst at Real Madrid.
Despite securing a £100m move to the Spanish giants in 2019 where he was the latest ‘Galactico’ under president Florentino Perez, the former PFA Player of the Year was riddled with injuries in his four seasons at the Bernabeu, managing to rack up just 76 appearances and scoring seven goals for the club.
