Tornadoes get boost, marching orders ahead Doma clash

Still basking in the euphoria of their recent defeat of Akwa United, Niger Tornadoes have been urged to maintain the tempo by again snatching all three points against Doma on Saturday.

Chairman of the Club, Engineer Ibrahim Dada who gave the charge, said it is important that the Minna based side improve their standing on the log.

Dada bared his mind when he visited the team hotel in Kaduna following their 1-0 over fellow struggling side Akwa United on match day 10 at Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.

A 65th sublime finish from Bashir Usman was the difference that gave Ikon Allah Boys the much needed victory.

He commended the team for rising to the occasion and urged them to take the momentum to Gombe when they confront Doma United on match day 11 who are second on the league.

The team he insisted must fight for a decent result against Doma who have been having blistering form and who are sure to pose tough nut to crack.

It was however not all talk as the chairman made personal donation of N200,000 to the players for beating Akwa United, promising that more goodies will come their way if they floor Doma in Gombe.

The chairman added that Doma are not invincible,noting that if Doma can draw other teams, Tornadoes too can equally pull a draw or defeat them even as he canvassed for support of stakeholders in the state for the team

Tornadoes are currently 17th on the 20 team NPFL log with 11 points in 10 matches.
