Tottenham boss Mourinho upset with schedule ahead of Cup final

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is upset with the Premier League fixture makers.

Mourinho is unhappy with the Premier League because Tottenham have just four days to prepare for the Carabao Cup final following the rearranging of top-flight fixtures.

A series of critical top-flight games in their bid to qualify for the top four come before they attempt to end their 13-year wait for a trophy when they face Manchester City at Wembley on 25 April.

However, a Premier League game against Southampton precedes the Wembley showdown against Pep Guardiola’s men on 21 April, with the fixture rearranged due to the Saints’ involvement in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

That leaves Mourinho and his side just four days to recover and prepare for the final, and The Mirror says the Portuguese boss is far from satisfied with the switch because he wanted a full week of training before facing City.
