Tottenham Hotspur replies Inter: Jan Vertonghen not for sale

Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur have shut the door against Seria A side, Inter Milan who were interested in signing Jan Vertonghen.

The White Hart Lane side reportedly told the Italian side that the Belgium defender is not for sale in the January transfer window.

The Belgian is yet to decide on his future when his present contract ends at the end of the season

Reports have claimed that Inter, having made inquiries for Vertonghen in the summer, will once again launch a bid to sign the defender next year.

According to The Guardian, Inter will look to strike a deal for Vertonghen in the next summer transfer window after being told by Spurs that he is not available in January.

Toby Alderweireld, another Spurs defender out of contract in the summer, has also attracted interest from Italy, with the Belgian reportedly holding talks with Roma.
