Former Nigerian international, Mikel Obi took to social media to announce his desire to join his new teammates in Turkey following a two-year deal with Trabzonspor but failed to reveal his arrival date which kept club fans guessing.
The 32-year-old and father of two is currently on holiday with his Russian spouse Olga Diyachenko after helping Nigeria win bronze at the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
“Looking forward to join my new football family soon #Trabzonspor,” the recently retired Super Eagles Captain wrote on his official instagram page.
Although, the former Chelsea midfielder did not mention the exact date he will join up with Trabzonspor – fans still welcomed him to the club with love and good wishes.

The Nigerian may miss the pre-season friendlies against Ajman, Hoffenheim, Parma and Hellas Verona but likely to be ready for the first match of the season against Kasimpasa on August 17.
Mikel last played for English Championship side, Middlesborough before teaming up with Nigerian duo, Ogenyi Onazi and Anthony Nwakaeme at Trabzonspor.
