The Spaniard only joined the club in January from Manchester City for a mega fee.
However, he is out of favor with coach Xavi at present, with the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Ousmane Dembele starting ahead of him.

According to El Nacional in Spain, Arsenal made an attempt to secure Torres this summer.
They made a late bid to Barca of £26 million, but it was rejected by the Catalans.
Torres is seen as one who can improve a lot by the coaching staff, and they do not want to lose him.
