Transfer: Douvikas delighted to move to Celta Vigo

Tasos Douvikas is delighted with his move to Celta Vigo.

The Greece striker signed for Celta yesterday from FC Utrecht.

He said at his presentation: “I received the information a few weeks ago from my agents. It made me very happy. It is a good opportunity for me. Since the beginning of my career I have been an ambitious player and I want to face these new challenges.

“The Eredivisie was a great competition, but I want to learn, improve and give my best level in LaLiga.

“I talked a lot with my agents, but not about specific teams or offers because I like to focus on football and not so much on the market and offers. I focused on soccer and training. I knew that when an offer from an interesting team arrived they would let me know.

“It was an incredible day meeting my teammates. I have come for the help and closeness of Rafa Benítez, Luís Campos and the president, who have been a great support. I am very grateful to all of them.”
