Empoli are ready to complete a double deal with Atalanta to bring in Nicolò Cambiaghi and Viktor Kovalenko
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the pair should undergo their medicals over the next 24 hours, as they are expected in Tuscany tomorrow.
In the case of 22-year-old left-sided winger Cambiaghi, this is a return to the Stadio Castellani.

He already spent last season on loan with Empoli, where he made 29 competitive appearances, contributing a more than creditable seven goals and two assists.
The versatile Italy Under-21 international had also been linked with a potential move to Bologna.
As for Kovalenko, the 27-year-old Ukraine international has just come back to Bergamo after two years on loan with Spezia.
Cambiaghi is expected to be another dry loan, whereas Empoli should have an option to buy Kovalenko at the end of the season.
Empoli started their season on a disappointing note, suffering a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Hellas Verona.
