Transfer: Etiosa Ighodaro moves to South Africa’s SuperSports Utd

South Africa Premier League side SuperSport United have announced the acquisition of the Nigeria international Etiosa Ighodaro on loan from Mamelodi Sundown.

Ighodaro was heavily linked with a switch to join Gavin Hunt’s side in a swap deal involving winger Thapelo Maseko who has joined Sundowns.

In a brief statement on social media, the former MTN8 and Nedbank Cup champions said the Masandawana striker, Ighodaro will be with SuperSport for a season.

“Matsatsantsa would like to confirm the signature of 22-year-old Nigerian forward Etiosa Ighodaro on a one-year loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.

We are excited to have you in the Matsatsantsa family,” said SuperSport.
