Transfer window: Cavani would be incredible gift for the city, says Iervolino

Salernitana are eyeing Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani.

After beating the Serie A drop under coach Davide Nicola, Salernitana are now ready to act in the summer market to strengthen their survival chances next season.

On the agenda is Cavani, who is coming off contract at United this summer.

Salernitana president Danilo Iervolino declared: “I would love to sign Edinson Cavani as a free agent. It would be an incredible gift for the city because Salernitana stays in Serie A.”

Cavani, now 35, is well known to Italian fans after his past success with Palermo and Napoli.
