Transfer window: English club Leeds send agents after Nigeria winger Moses Simon

English side, Leeds United have dragged Nigeria’s Super Eagles star, Moses Simon, into the transfer market as they are battling to rescue a deal for the promising player.

According to RMC, while Nice already have an agreement with Simon, Leeds are continuing to keep a close eye on his situation.

Simon scored six goals and provided eight assists last season for Nantes and is the latest winger to be linked with the Whites as they look for a Raphinha replacement.

Only recently, the Nigerian with his fellow countryman, Akinwunmi Amoo made it into the shortlist of nominations for the 2022 CAF Awards.

While Moses made it into the main award for the African Footballer of Year, Amoo , who plays for FC Copenhagen, is in the Youth Player Category.

Moses who had a blistering outing in the last Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon is nominated along with the likes of Egypt’s Mohamed Salah and Senegal striker Sadio Mane who is the reigning African Footballer of the Year.
