Transfer window: Gavi signs new deal with Barcelona

Gavi has ended speculation over his future and signed a new contract with Barcelona today.

The Spain midfielder had been in talks for 12 months with Barca after a stellar first season in senior football.

Gavi, 18, has now penned a deal to 2026 with the Catalans.

The midfielder’s contract carries a €1bn buyout clause.

Gavi has played 54 competitive matches for Barcelona at senior level. He’s scored two goals and produced six assists.

The midfielder has scored one goal in ten internationals for Spain.

His contract signing ceremony will be held on Thursday at the Nou Camp.
