Transfer window: Haaland ruins Edu’s £60m Arsenal masterstroke

Erling Haaland reportedly wants to play in La Liga and not the Premier League meaning Manchester City could pursue a deal for Dusan Vlahovic instead

Arsenal have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic after a recent transfer update on Erling Haaland.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Haaland would prefer to move to La Liga over the Premier League despite months of speculation linking him with a move to England.

Manchester City are one of the clubs who have been constantly linked with the Norwegian striker, but his apparent reluctance to join the Blues means they could turn their attention to Vlahovic.

This would be a big blow for Arsenal who themselves have a strike crisis brewing. The Fiorentina striker would certainly solve the problems that are on the horizon.

Dusan Vlahovic’s goalscoring heroics has seen him linked with a number of Europe’s top clubs.

Mikel Arteta’s need for a striker has intensified following the recent disciplinary action taken against Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The 32-year-old has been left out of the squad for the club’s recent outings and speculation is growing around his future at the Gunners. It was recently announced that he would not return to first-team training until after the Africa Cup of Nations has finished.
