Transfer window: Pochettino wants Kane to join him at Man Utd

Mauricio Pochettino wants Harry Kane to join him at Manchester United – should he land the manager’s job.

The Telegraph says PSG coach Pochettino, 49, has long been linked with a return to England following his Spurs exit and United are interested in bringing the Argentine in on a full-time basis when Ralf Rangnick’s interim spell comes to an end this season.

And Pochettino is expected to urge the Red Devils to sign England captain Kane should he take the helm at Old Trafford.

Pochettino and Kane enjoy a strong relationship following their time together at Spurs and the 28-year-old could angle for a Tottenham exit this summer when he enters the final two years of his contract.

Senior figures at Old Trafford have regretted not making a more concerted effort to land Kane, with the Red Devils bystanders as City and Spurs tussled over the England captain last summer.

A reunion with Pochettino would appear enticing for Kane. The striker turns 29 in July and a Tottenham exit may be a case of ‘now or never’.
