Transfer window: Rangers shopping for a replacement for Calvin Bassey

Scottish giants Rangers are now shopping for a replacement for defender Calvin Bassey, who could well make a major transfer this summer.

Reports said Rangers have now identified Stoke City left-back Josh Tymon as a possible replacement for the Super Eagles star.

The enterprising Bassey is a subject of a big transfer this summer and the club manager is not taking anything for chance.

Rangers manager Giovanni Van Bronckhorst has identified Tymon as potential transfer target.

Bassey who was outstanding with Rangers at left-back and centre-half, is being closely monitored by Aston Villa and other top clubs in Europe.

Though Bassey, who has two years left on his contract is happy at the Scottish club, big money can make the transfer happen.

He was outstanding in friendly games for Nigeria against Mexico and Ecuador in the USA.
