Transfer window: Scamacca warns Inter about possible move

Inter are interested in securing the services of Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca but he has refused to rule out a move abroad.

The Italy striker has scored 12 goals in 27 league games this term, attracting interest from many clubs in Italy and Europe. La Gazzetta dello Sport reported in January that Scamacca had snubbed an offer coming from Borussia Dortmund.

Inter have also set their sights on the 23-year-old and according to multiple reports, they are in pole position to sign Scamacca in the summer. Juventus have also been linked with a move for the striker, but a transfer to Turin seems unlikely following Dusan Vlahovic’s arrival in January.

“I don’t think about it [Juventus and Inter interest], I have set no limits for myself and I’ll decide with my heart,” Scamacca told Il Corriere dello Sport.

“I’ve been abroad once and I’d have no problem making that choice again.

“Rumours about interest from great clubs are flattering, they are motivating me, but I don’t follow the transfer market much and some situations take a while to become concrete.”

Scamacca will be included in the Italy squad for the World Cup play-offs, which will take place next week.

“We know that this is an important moment and we must give our all for Italy and the Italians,” he said. “We must win the play-offs, I was welcomed really well in the group, it’s like a family and it’s really united, as we could see during the Euros.”
