UEL draw in full: Man United get tough test in quarter-final

Manchester United will face Sevilla in the Europa League quarter-finals.

Erik ten Hag’s side are handed another intriguing test against LaLiga opposition in Europe’s secondary club competition having brushed aside rivals Real Betis 5-1 on aggregate in the last-16 and also seen off Barcelona in a heavyweight play-off tie last month.

If United also defeat the record six-time winners in the last eight, then either Serie A giants Juventus or Sporting Lisbon, conquerors of Arsenal via a penalty shootout at the Emirates on Thursday night, will await at the semi-final stage.

United and Sevilla met in the last-16 of the Champions League back in the 2017/18 season, with a goalless draw in Spain followed by a winning brace from substitute Wissam Ben Yedder at Old Trafford. They went on to lose to Bayern Munich in the quarters.
