Nigeria born striker Ike Dominique Ugbo has extended his contract with Chelsea till 2022.
The 21 year former England junior international is however not about to play for the Stamford Bridge landlords but to continue his loan journey that began in 2017.
ugbo who just finished a season long loan sojourn with Dutch side Roda JC, began a new one this time with Belgian side Cercle Brugge on Wednesday.
The former England U-20 ace played 28 games for Roda JC scoring 13 goals. He has also spent time at Barnsley, MK Dons and Scunthorpe United respectively.
Interestingly Cercle Brugge is managed by former Chelsea academy coach and first-team assistant Paul Clement.
Ugbo who was born in Lewisham, Greater London began his career with Chelsea at under-10 level turning professional in 2015.
He signed a season long loan deal with Barnsley on 17 July 2017, making his debut against Bristol City which ended in a 3-1 defeat.
But lack of game cut the loan deal short forcing him to join joined League One club Milton Keynes Dons on loan for the remainder of the 2017–18 season.
Scunthorpe United was the next point of call for ugbo before heading to Roda JC. He has so far made cumulative 74 appearances since 2017 with 17 goals to his credit.
