Urgent personal matter stops Rohr from Abuja meeting

Super Eagles’ Chief Coach Gernot Rohr left Singapore for his base in Germany yesterday to attend to an urgent personal matter.

The Eagles Coach was supposed to head straight to Abuja with the other backroom staff where he would meet with the Sports Minister Sunday Dare and the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation to iron out some
pressing issues as regards the German Coach’s contractual issues and plans and preparations for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho.

Sportinglife.ng scooped from a close confidant of the Eagles’ Manager that he would reschedule the trip back to Abuja which maybe early November.

“Coach Rohr had personal issues to sort out at his base in Germany. So, he would travel straight to Germany first and maybe come back to Abuja in early November for the meeting. But he told me he wasn’t aware of any planned meeting with the Sports Minister”, the impeccable said.
