Victor Osimhen: We have not been at our best in Europe

Victor Osimhen has revealed that Lille have not been at their best in Europe’s elite competition after suffering a 2-0 loss at the hands of Ajax in Wednesday’s Champions League matchday 5.

The 20-year-old who regretted the wasted opportunities during the game said it will be difficult for his side when they tackle Chelsea on matchday six next month after labeling the Stamford Bridge outfit ‘one of the best teams in the world’.

“We have to analyze our performance and see the mistakes made in this match because we have not played at our best level, and against a team of such quality, we can not miss so many opportunities,” Osimhen said at the post-match conference.

Osimhen who ended the night with a yellow card which he felt about.

“I took a yellow card after an action where I thought deserve a free kick, I was upset but it’s normal for a player like me to be emotionally involved, “said the Nigerian.
