For the victory the players received N300,000 each while N100,000 covered their camping allowances. Officials were paid N400,000 for the win while Chief Coach Paul Aigbogun gotN600,000.

“My appreciation first to the NFF President Ambassador Chris Giwa, his board members, the management of the Nigeria Football Federation especially the acting general secretary Emmanuel Ikpeme and our coaching crew who made our victory possible,” said team captain Ikouwen Udoh.

Udoh who was full of praises over the smooth running told thenff.com that encouragement and motivation from the president enabled the team secure qualification.
