Watford, Maguire hail Anthony Joshua for masterclass performance

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, joined several stars to hail Anthony Joshua after he reclaimed the WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles with a unanimous decision victory over Andy Ruiz Jr.

Maguire watched the fight after United’s 2-1 victory against Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday.

‘He’s back – Class performance,’ the defender tweeted.

Premier league side, Watford also celebrated their hero along with former Arsenal legend Ian Wright, Jermaine Jenas.

Joshua won by a unanimous decision 118-110 (twice), 119-109 verdict to regain his titles that he lost to Ruiz in June via knockout.

Joshua’s win was greeted with resounding cheers from a capacity 16,000 crowd in the purpose-built venue in the ancient Saudi capital, which was hosting a major title fight for the first time.
