Hold on to ball control,Obuh urges Golden Eaglets

Former Under-20 national team coach, John Obuh, has advised the coaches of the current Under-17 national team to work more on the team’s ball handling so as to make the team stronger and more stabilised after another comeback win 3-2 Tuesday night against Ecuador this time.

Obuh   said the team have shown to be a talented side but are always too much in a hurry to execute which often even make the players look lost and confused occasionally.

“One thing I want the coaches to manage is their ball handling and the speed of their game is making them lose a lot of concentration at the vital area. Yes it’s very important for them to be fast but with good possession of the ball.

“They don’t need to just be unnecessarily in a hurry like I have watched them do, in a hurry to deliver, hurry to pass, in a hurry to mark, they just have to calm down, they have that bundle of talents among them. They just need to calm down so that they will be able to finish well.”
