World Boxing approves calendar of over 20 tournaments for 2024-2025
The calendar includes competitions in eight countries currently scheduled for 2024 and early 2025. Two events, one in the Czech Republic and one in Sweden, will take place next June. It is designed for both male and female boxers from U15 to elite level.
A calendar of competition opportunities for boxers of all levels has just been officially announced by World Boxing. There are over 20 tournaments and events for male and female boxers at all levels, from U15 to Elite. Boxers in the U15, U17, U19 and Elite male and female categories will be competing in most of the events.
The Ústí nad Labem Grand Prix in the Czech Republic (11-16 June 2024) is the next event on the calendar. The other one is the Gothenburg Box Open (13-16 June 2024) in Sweden, which will feature competitions for under-15s, under-17s and under-19s as well as elite men and women.
World Boxing General Secretary Simon Toulson said, “This calendar has been designed to showcase the range of international competition opportunities that our member National Federations can offer to boxers at all levels.”

The tournaments will cover much of Europe. Competitions will be held in the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and the Netherlands. There will also be a torunament in the United States, the USA Boxing Women’s Championships in Kansas, from 13 to 20 August 2024. This competition is for elite and non-elite women of all ages.
The last of the planned events is the GeeBee Boxing Tournament in Helsinki, Finland. It will take place from 10 to 13 April 2025. Categories will include elite men and women.
On Thursday, the second World Qualification Tournament began in Bangkok, Thailand. It is scheduled to end on 2 June. Over 600 boxers have registered.
The latest elite world boxing tournament, the Eindhoven Box Cup, ended on Monday, with Brazil and Australia taking five titles each. Winners included Olympic silver medallist Beatriz Ferreira, Paris 2024 hopeful Luiz Oliveira and double Commonwealth Games medallist Caitlin Parker.
