Zidane relects on Real’s shock loss

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has called for more ‘consistency’ from his charges following their disappointing to RCD Mallorca in LaLiga at the weekend.

Los Blancos lost ground at the top of the top of the table after succumbing to their first league defeat of the season.

Furthermore, the defeat allowed bitter rivals FC Barcelona to remain on top of the table following their 3-0 win away to Eibar earlier in the day.

“The problem at the moment is that we have to show a consistent level every three or four days. At the moment, we are not doing that, and that needs to improve,” Zidane said, as per Football-espana.

“I am not worried, but I always tell the players that if they want to win trophies, they need to show consistency.”

The absence of seven first team regulars shouldn’t be an excuse for their surprise defeat to the returning Mallorca according to Zidane.

“The injuries are not an excuse. We have enough players to cover for injuries, and those players have to show they are to step up.

“We need all of the squad able to play when called up.” Zidane explained.Zidane
