Leicester owner Khun ready to add to Ndidi, Iheanacho this summer

Leicester City are in a good position as they head into the summer transfer window.

The Foxes are hoping to improve on another fifth-place finish in the Premier League.

Despite not making the Champions League, Leicester did win the FA Cup by defeating Chelsea in the final.

Chairman Aiyawatt ‘Top’ Srivaddhanaprabha said he will invest in the summer to improve the squad and club infrastructure.

“The last 18 months have been so challenging for everyone, but I feel like the club remains in a position of strength,” Top wrote in his final programme notes of the season.

“During that time, we have worked hard to support our people and our communities, further reinforcing what was already a strong bond between us. That sense of community, of family, is at the heart of our story.

“We have secured two of our highest finishing positions in the Premier League in the last two seasons, have a highly-skilled, driven manager, a young and extremely talented squad, we continue to compete in the biggest competitions, and continue to build a reputation as a club with strong values.

“It shows the progress we are making and our ability to compete on the big stage, but we know it takes time and consistency at that level for us to realise our long-term ambitions.

“Our approach doesn’t change; we continue to plan carefully, reinvest in our squad, our staff and our infrastructure, fight to compete on the biggest stages for the biggest prizes, and take our fans with us on the journey.”

Top added: “Commercially the club is an increasingly attractive partner for brands that align with our values and I’m delighted to welcome FBS on board as our front-of-shirt partner for the 21-22 season.

“We look forward to working with them and to building on the value of the Leicester City brand, an important process in our efforts to make the club’s success sustainable.

“It is our hope that the gradual reintroduction of supporters to stadiums will lead to full capacities from next season. However it’s important we continue on that road together cautiously, so that we are ready to adapt to the changing needs of a world emerging from a global crisis.

“We remain as ambitious as ever, but we must continue to pursue our goals responsibly, in the best long-term interests of the club.”
