2018 World Cup: Amuneke appointed into FIFA technical group

Former U-20 chief coach, Emmanuel Amuneke has been appointed into the technical study group for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia which gets underway in June, SportingLife.ng can reveal.

 

Former U-20 chief coach, Emmanuel Amuneke has been appointed into the technical study group for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia which gets underway in June, SportingLife.ng can reveal.

 

The ex-Nigerian international who is back to the labour market since parting ways with Sudanese club, Al Khartoum this year has commended the football governing body for the recognition.

“This is an honour to be recognised by FIFA,” Amuneke told SportingLife.ng.

Only last year, Amuneke was FIFA’s guest for the World Cup draw in Russia and the FIFA Best of Football Awards in London in the same year.

He joins ex-Super Eagles captain and teammate Sunday Oliseh as some of the ex-footballers that have been named into the group. Oliseh worked with the group at the 2014 edition in Brazil..

Some of his achievements include winning the 2013 and 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup as an assistant coach and head coach.
