Super Eagles and Tianjin Teda of China captain, John Mikel Obi has called on his colleagues to see their loss as a learning process.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles were beaten 2-0 by Serbia in an international friendly inside the Hive Stadium in London on Tuesday night, five days after its 1-0 win against Poland.

“You don’t lose, you learn 💪🏾 Looking forward to being back on the pitch for our remaining preparation games 🇳🇬#SoarSuperEagles,” posted the player on his twitter handle.

The Nigeria captain failed to make the trip to Poland and London due to work permit issues.

It could be seen from the two matches played by the Eagles that the presence of Mikel was greatly felt especially in the midfield.

Mikel will be part of the remaining friendly matches against Congo DR, England and Czech Republic from May leading up to the World Cup.

Tuesday’s Pre-World Cup warm up was the second defeat for the Eagles in 14 matches since head coach Gernot Rohr took over.
