The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has splashed out N48 million on the Super Eagles as appearance fees for the two international friendly matches.

SportingLife.ng understands that each player received 3,000 dollars (N2.1m) for each game which translates to 6,000 dollars for both matches.

The Eagles beat Poland by a lone goal, but lost 2-0 to Serbia in London.

An NFF source on Friday revealed to SportingLife.ng that the players were paid after each game.

“The NFF has been keeping to their promise of making sure that no member of the team is owed a dime,” said the source.

Head coach, Gernot Rohr got double the amount which is the practice in the senior team.

The Eagles would play three more friendly matches before travelling to Russia.
