Rohr will give Ajayi, Okechukwu more playing time–Bewarang

Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation Bitrus Bewarang has assured that the Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr would give Egypt based hot striker Junior Ajayi and Akwa United talented striker Gabriel Okechukwu more playing time to prove their worth.

The former Super Eagles’ Assistant Coach was impressed with the two players and he also believes that Rohr loves youthful and talented players.

“Rohr is fully in charge of the Super Eagles and we are there to support him to succeed in his assignment. I believe so much in talented young players because with them in the team and with the compliments of some experienced ones the team would be very strong and ready to go,” he said.

” It is not easy to play and succeed in other top African playing countries like Egypt. Junior Ajayi is already making waves with Al Ahly of Egypt and as we speak he is the highest goal scorer with the team. He is strong, good shooter and full of pace too.  To me he can be a very good addition to the team.

“As regards Gabriel Okechukwu we all witnessed what he did at the last Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) and in the Nigeria Professional Football League in the colours of Akwa United. I believe if Rohr gives him another chance in the team he won’t disappoint.

“I want us to encourage these young guys and other talented young ones across the globe and we will get a very strong team for the World Cup”, Bewarang disclosed to SportingLife.ng.
