AWCON qualifiers: Falcons get Gambia test

The Super Falcons of Nigeria have been confirmed to face Gambia in the second round of the 2018 African Women’s Cup of Nations qualifiers in June.

Gambia defeated Burkina Faso 5-3 via penalties, after both legs ended 2- 1 apiece.

The African champions were drawn by in the first round alongside Equatorial Guinea, South Africa and Cameroon.

The Falcons who have not regrouped since winning the AWCON title two years ago were beaten by France 8-0 last week Friday in an international friendly.
